Happy Wednesday!

Also known as "hump day" in some parts of the world! Seems like spring is struggling today, as the cold breeze is blowing here in beautiful Devils Lake, ND!

We have a fun Easter-themed contest going on here at the restaurant... when you make a purchase you get to choose a colorful egg from the Easter basket and see if you are an instant winner of a prize! Prizes include: Free cookies, a custom cake, free fountain pop, free bread or a chance to be included in a drawing for a $50.00 Gift Certificate! Come on in and try your luck! Of course, all the eggs have candy inside, so if nothing else, come in and get a jelly bean!

If you've been following our Facebook page, you'll know we had fun in St. Paul watching the ND Fighting Sioux win the Broadmoor Trophy (named for the Hotel and ice rink where I trained as a figure skater in the '80's). We did end up sampling mainly snackies from arena concessions, but of course St. Paul has much more to offer than that! Can't wait to get back to do more of a "foodie" visit!

Also, regarding the Facebook page, we have about 40 fans so far, which I'm sure will increase as time goes by....It feels really good being able to keep our friends posted on goings-on at KT...things are always changing, new items, new menus...keeps it interesting! And, as always, we strive to provide the good people of the Lake Region with food that's fresh and actually made from real ingredients every day. (Did you know that a good friend of mine didn't realize that we really made our bread from scratch: flour, yeast, water, etc. Mix, knead, rise, etc. I said, "that's why our sign says "Handmade Bread" and she said "I didn't know that meant from scratch!" What's a girl gotta do?!?) Anyway...it's all here, folks. Stop in and see us!

Spring Break!

Hello all! Thanks to all of you who have become fans of our Facebook page this week...be sure to suggest us to your other FB friends so we can spread the word about Kneadful's great, fresh, unique food!

We wanted to let all of our friends know we will be closed for a mini spring break starting Thursday March 18 through Saturday March 20. We reopen as usual on Monday, March 22!

We will be visiting St. Paul, MN for the WCHA final five tournament to cheer on the UND Fighting Sioux! Hope to get to some fun restaurants while we're there! Watch this space for "reviews!" Have a great weekend!

Spring Weather in ND!

Hello all! Thanks to all who have become facebook fans this week! We think you'll like the updates! We love to change things up and keep them fresh here, and it's nice to know what's going on!

We do have one new menu item this week: the THOMAS T.: a turkey sandwich on our 10-grain roll, with honey mustard sauce, roasted wild mushrooms and swiss cheese. It's great!

It must be spring here in ND: about 34 degrees, foggy, raining and swampy. With all the talk about the lake rising 2-3 feet this summer, we can't help but realize that without the dikes and raised roads, Kneadful Things and much of the surrounding Hwy 2 business area would be under a significant amount of water even now! So interesting to think of Turn of the Last Century Devils Lake, with the Minnie H paddle wheel boat delivering passengers and mail right up to the edge of our current downtown area...also interesting to think how we "never" thought the lake would "ever" reach those dimensions again. Silly humans!

Hey, it's been a while!

Hi everyone! We are always trying to stay up to the times with technology, but life seems to get in the way! We've had a great year and are excited to announce our new spring menu. I will attempt to post it here shortly. Also, there may be a Kneadful Page on Facebook soon...at least I keep threatening...anyway, stop in and see us!
