Happy Thursday Everyone!
We're FINALLY back open after three days of serious clean up and reconstruction here at the bakery! Like I said before, we don't have pretty flooring, but the food is great and there are special Valentine's goodies in the case!

SOUPS OF THE DAY: Tomato, Potato, Chicken Dumpling and our Famous French Onion. As always, made from scratch, never frozen!

There's hot spiced cider and coffee of course, plus some awesome chocolate covered brownie hearts on sale! Come in and see us and please pardon our dust!

Good Morning (or afternoon, as the case may be)!
We're in the middle of some reconstruction here at Kneadful Things due to our water mishap yesterday.   Seems the water really seeped up into some drywall so we needed to replace that, plus our whole dining room laminate floor needed to be torn out.
Even still, we feel confident that we can reopen for business on Thursday of this week.  Whew!  There won't be a pretty floor, but the food will still be great!  Be sure to come in and check us out during "reconstruction"!
Thanks for checking in!  Let us know via your comments if you need any updates on how things are going!

Hey everyone!

Sorry to say, but the cold North Dakota weather has thrown us a curve ball. We came in to open this morning to find Niagara Falls coming out of our ceiling tiles in the kitchen. A pipe must ahve frozen somehow and burst, so water had flooded up to an inch in some places throughout the restaurant. Needless to say, we are closed temporarily until repairs can be made to drywall, electrical, plumbing, flooring, etc., etc. Yuck! But, as we in the Janssen family usually say, "It's an 'Oh, well'", meaning, what's done is done so you may as well say "oh, well" and move forward from where you are. There are many, many worse things that could be happening to us on this Monday in January!

We are so very thankful for all of our good friends here who came running to our frantic calls for help: ServiceMaster, Matthew Mack Plumbing, Kitsch Heating and Cooling, Bergstrom Electric (esp. Darin and Kendrick), Gleason Construction, and Western Insurance. We know that all of these good people will have us back up and running in no time. We have certainly found that small town living has distinct anvantages in being able to know who to call in an emergency and knowing that they will treat your emergency like their own. Thanks, guys and gals!

Did everyone have a nice weekend? We did...very relaxing. Can't wait for warmer weather, like most of you! Touch base when you have time!
